- נְפַש, נַפְשָׁא, נַפְשָׁהch. sam( נֶפֶש f. (b. h.; preced. wds.) over a tomb.), 1) monument. Pesik. Bshall., p. 79b> ועברון ליה נ׳וכ׳ and they erected a monument to him (the dog that saved their lives), and to this day they call it נ׳ דכלבא the dogs monument.
